The purpose of this course is to provide local and state-level emergency responders with an overview of key duties and responsibilities of an Operations Section Chief Type-III in a Type III All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). Topics include roles and responsibilities, management cycle, strategy and planning, contingency planning, supervision and communications, managing and adjusting the operations section, risk assessment and safety management, and personnel interaction.
