Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course in fiber optics covers optical theory and operation including the complete fiber optic communication system. It includes fiber optic terminology and instruction in the use of tools and equipment associated with fiber optic installation and maintenance. Tests of the fiber optic systems are performed using sophisticated equipment such as optical power meters and optical time domain reflectometers (OTDR).
