- Writing and Listening/Speaking courses at the student's assessed levels are highly recommended. This course, intended for non-native speakers of English, focuses on literal understanding of basic vocabulary and readings at the Novice level. There is a focus on expanding basic vocabulary through readings, word parts, and word-form activities. The concepts of using context and giving personal reactions to readings are introduced.
