Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis course offers academic reading and writing English skills at the intermediate-low level with an emphasis on vocabulary, reading comprehension, critical thinking, and the development of writing using the writing process. It provides skills in pre-writing, structuring paragraphs and multiple-paragraph compositions, and constructing a variety of sentence types. This course is part of the reading and writing sequence which prepares ESL students to take college courses leading to a certificate, degree, and/or transfer.
