    ESLW courses, combined maximum credit, 8 units) This advanced-low integrated-skills course for non-native speakers of English builds on academic reading and writing skills, while also introducing basic research steps. Emphasis is placed on developing critical reading and writing skills to evaluate a variety of college-level texts and use them to inform and support students' own compositions. Instruction targets the needs of multilingual writers by addressing specific linguistic and cultural content to promote academic success. The goal of this course is to prepare students for transfer-level composition.
