Topics include diesel engine characteristics, early mechanical fuel delivery systems, early cylinder head design, and early engine construction. It also covers how to prepare these engines for conversion to green technology, such as low sulfur fuel, biodiesel, and alternative fuels. This course along with DCDT 201 is applicable for the field technician seeking training for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) A9 certification and preparation for green technologies.
