It emphasizes public performance using the strategies, rules, and language of contemporary dance. Small group works are developed using subtext, gestural movements, abstract story lines, and movement for movement's sake. Creating complex contemporary dance steps and building short dance pieces to be performed in several public venues develops better performance abilities .
