Abilities drawn from jazz, ballet, and modern dance are required to pursue this new integrated style. Dancers select and merge three dance techniques and incorporate the vocabulary of gestural movement and non-verbal communication. Development of smooth transitions and learning to use dance steps and elements to communicate an emotional state or story line.
