Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course is an introduction to computer-based photographic imaging with emphasis on utilizing cutting edge digital imaging tools to realize design objects. Basic operating principles of Adobe Photoshop are covered. Topics include scanning, basic photo correction, selections, layer basics, adjustment layers, basic masking and channels, typography, vector drawings, and compositing. Design fundamentals are discussed. Topics include positive and negative space relationship, unity, balance, and basic color theory. Concept development is also introduced.
