    Description
    Soldering techniques are explored through practice and demonstration. Students learn how to make silver rings, earrings, pins, bracelets and pendants by applying soldering principles and techniques, including sweat soldering, pick soldering, jump soldering, fusing, reticulation, and depletion guilding. They learn about soldering set-up, including soldering bricks, solders, torches, fluxes, pickles, melting temperatures, and more. Frequent review of new concepts occurs through lectures and demonstrations at a pace that suits the needs and abilities of individual students. Peer feedback is utilized to maximize social interaction and encourage problem-solving and critical thinking.
