Topics include: fractions, decimals, percents, measurement, signed numbers, simple equations and modeling. The course emphasizes problem solving techniques that are useful in practical situations. Students should have knowledge of multiplication tables, division, subtraction, number operations and number sense, measurement, basic geometry, and patterns. The course is not open to students who have passed MATH 511.
