Course includes skill development and assessment of fundamentals of shooting, firearms nomenclature, maintenance, and safety. Meets requirements for certification under California Penal Code section 832 for limited function peace officers to carry and use firearms as required by statute. Presented over three consecutive days including two full days on a local firing range.
