Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course is a survey of current theoretical perspectives, research, and the application of techniques related to psychological factors in the field of sport. Subject areas include the history and foundations of sport psychology, theories of motivation, group dynamics, psychological theories of stress and arousal, the role of demographic characteristics (e.g., gender, race, and ethnicity), self-efficacy, attention, emotion, and leadership. Relevant current literature in the field may be used as supplemental material. The course is not open to students who are currently enrolled or have received credit for PE 128.
