    Description
    This foundational paramedicine course provides an in-depth exploration of the theoretical principles underpinning prehospital emergency care. It emphasizes the application of evidence-based practices to assess and manage medical emergencies across diverse patient populations. Topics include EMS systems, health and wellness, medical-legal-ethical considerations, pharmacology, patient assessment, and the management of various medical emergencies. The curriculum is aligned with the DOT NHTSA National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards (2021) and California Code of Regulations, Title 22 and prepares students for advanced paramedic roles in diverse and high-pressure environments. This is a 12-week course.
