    This course provides EMS professionals seeking further education in preparation for the formal paramedicine program with the essential mathematical principles and formulas necessary for accurate drug dosages, drug infusions, and fluid administration in prehospital emergency settings. Areas of focus include body weight-based drug dosages, total body surface area (TBSA) calculations for burn patients, and the correct dosing of medications in emergency situations. The course aligns with DOT NHTSA National EMS Education Standards (2021), California EMSA guidelines, and Santa Barbara County LEMSA protocols.
