Topics include:communication and leadership skills, emergency vehicle operations and driving, patient handling and packaging, assisting paramedic partners, street survival issues, automobile extrication, rope rescue, helicopter safety, hazardous materials, preparing to apply for jobs in related field, medical and trauma based scenarios, and physical fitness and agility training. An academy uniform, gym suit, and related materials will be required.
