    Description
    This basic math course is designed to build foundational mathematics skills essential for daily life and workplace tasks, as well as serve as a preparatory step in the math pathway leading to success in the GED Math course. It is primarily intended for, though not limited to, students whose last years of schooling were at the 6th to 8th grade level or for those who wish to review basic math concepts at the elementary level. The course covers basic functions of arithmetic, including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratios, proportions, percentages, and an introduction to geometry. This course can be applied to obtain the Basic Skills Certificate of Competency.
