- This course will introduce students to the Raku firing processes and other alternative glazing techniques to pottery and hand-building. Examples and methods including alternative electric kiln firings, Raku glazes, kilns, and firing; wheel-throwing and hand-building constructions; native materials and cone 10 clay preparation and use, and decorating processes will be covered.
