    An introduction to the classification, identification, life cycles, and strategies for the prevention and control of plant diseases, insects, mites, weeds, and nematodes. Particular emphasis is on pests of economic importance in agricultural commodities. Evaluation of efficacy and strategies using cultural, chemical, and biological control methods. Industry-based field trips and/or guest speakers will be used to exemplify classroom knowledge.
